An institution in Riec-sur-Belon

During the Spanish Civil War, several refugee families found refuge in the large attic above the twelve rooms of the hotel, then run by Anna Cadoret.
During the Second World War, the hotel was requisitioned by the German occupiers. According to the book Histoire d’une commune – Le Trevoux by Georges Courric, some resistance fighters captured by the enemy were able to escape thanks to the courageous help of the landlady.

In the 1950s, the hotel had about fifteen rooms and mainly welcomed business travelers, workers on the move and tourists, often from the region. Mrs. Jeanneret, Anna Cadoret’s daughter, recalls this period in the book La vie d’un bourg dans les années 1950. She then ran the establishment with her husband Jean-Michel, hosting many banquets, weddings and family meals.

Later, Daniel Offret and his wife Marie-Renée took over, followed by their son Gildas. Anita Le Gourrierec then took over the reins of the establishment, even participating in the show Bienvenue à l’hôtel in 2017, where she won a great victory.
